I don't know if this is what you're looking to do, but I had done this a
while back and just figured out how to do it again. Right now I've got
two different X instances running. The first I started from kdm. I
then went to an available virtual terminal, logged in and typed: 'starx
-- :1' Now cntl-alt-f7 gets me to my original session, cntl-alt-f8 gets
me to my second. First one is gnome/enlightenment, second one is kde.
