[ale] Anybody succeeded in getting "ide-scsi" cdrecord working, if so HOW

Greetings !

I'm trying to get cdrecord working under RedHat5.2 with a ide ATAPT CDRW 
working. BTW, it is a supported burner.

If anyone has succeeded in being able to burn a CD with this setup I'd 
appreciate knowing how.

When I try, the burn will begin and stop after a few MB of -data with an 
indication of an i/o error. 

The command I use is:

cdrecord -v speed=1 padsize=900s -data tsize=201059 dev=1,0 <filename>

I have implemented the scsi functions in the kernel and eliminated the 
ide-cdrom function.
