[ale] Anyone used an LG CD-RW drive?

I found this model in the cd-writer compatibility list of the CD-Writing HOWTO, and it's reported to work with Linux 2.4.0 and cdroast-0.98. 'Goldstar' has a model with the name. Anyone know what's going on, here?
