[ale] Anyone know how to compile Xfree86 4.1.0?

I've run across a patch that adds USB keyboard support and removes virtual
terminal support. A combo which in theory could enable two complete stations
from one machine. Check it out here:

But this is my first time trying to compile an Xfree86 server from source.
Has anyone done this. Any caveats I need to look out for?

I'm testing out my Slackware 8.0 install, so I'm not sure what if any
distribution info you need.

Any help would be appreciated.
