[ale] Keyboard layout

Ok guys... I just installed SuSE 6.1 on a new machine and seemingly installed it like I have installed all the rest.

For some reason my keyboard mappings are different....Where are these mappings stored?

In X, they are fine if I configure X to use an English 104k keyboard..
