[ale] OFFTOPIC -- Network Info

  I know this is a little off topic for this list, but any help would be
appreciated.

  Having been put into a position at work where I will be helping to
maintain an existing network, I was wondering if anyone on the list has
some suggestions as to books or url's that contain good information on
networks.  I am looking for wiring diagrams for CAT-5, information on
uses of routers, hubs, switches.  Nothing specific to a particular
brand, just some general information and practices.
